Commission a personalized, hand-made work of art to brighten your home.
The artist M’Anne (Anne Pernell) is currently receiving orders for a new series of quilted wall hangings. These stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces are made from recycled fabric. Crafted with masterful technique and exquisite detail, M’anne’s quilts make wonderful gifts, capturing a warm family moment, reinterpreting a favorite painting, or memorializing a loved one.
The proceeds will be donated to the Rosalie Scholarship to support students from Latin American with the online course “Your Voice is Worthy,” directed by Audrey Pernell and Andrés Zará of Rumbos Voice Studio. For 2024, proceeds also will be donated to The Fundraising Campaign of the Centre Artistique International Roy Hart, to help finance the preservation of its material archives and to create a dedicated website for online research.

The price of each piece generally ranges from $300 to $600 USD, depending on the complexity and size of the design. Payment plans available.
Join the wait list! If you’d like to commission a piece, you can contact Audrey Pernell (Anne’s daughter), and send some photos to inspire the artist.

Why “M’Anne”? Anne Pernell grew up in a big family with five brothers and two sisters, Trish and Mary. It was easy for their mother, Rosalie, to confuse the names and often, instead of calling for Anne, she started to say “Mary”: “Ma—Anne!” M’Anne 🙂
As an architectural engineer, Anne has always had a good eye for design. When she retired, she decided to enrich her free time by exploring the fine arts, beginning with drawing and painting. Anne’s daughter, Audrey, asked her mother to paint her a reproduction of a quilt by the Quiltmakers of Gee’s Bend, a community of African American women in Alabama known for their incredible, vibrant designs. Anne looked at the image and thought, “I could sew that!” And so it was! A passion project was born, and Anne has been ferociously quilting since 2017.
